Service and innovation:

Faced with industrial markets with increasing competition from countries with low-cost labour, the DIAM GROUP proposes its service rate and its capacity of innovation.

Follow-up of the workshops and continuous improvement of the work stations by the Methods department, computer assisted production management, considerable reduction of the cost of non-quality, controlled stock management, active watch of the standards and a considerable deployment of the sales force are as many parameters allowing the DIAM GROUP to offer its clients a high service rate. In 2005, the DIAM GROUP service rate climbed by 10% with some sites having a long-lasting rate of more than 95%.

Innovation is also at the heart of the group's preoccupations. The defence of the "Intellectual property" portfolio includes internal training, an active watch of the competition and a followed up management of trademarks, patents, drawings and models.
The group is continuously innovating (5 patents and 12 trademarks registered in 2005) and ferociously defends its portfolio (basic action engaged in Asia with several seizures for counterfeiting).

Quality:

All the companies manufacturing on their sites are today certified ISO 9001, version 2000 and are working hard to obtain their ISO 14000 certification.

A common vision of the company:

The group's strength lies also in its internal cohesion, cohesion within the departments, companies and divisions.

The sharing of the company's vision and knowledge of the others was, for this reason, the centre of the first DIAM GROUP Management Seminar which, at the end of 2005, received a hundred staff members from all the companies of the group, in France and abroad. A whole day was devoted to internal vertical and horizontal communication and the discovery of the persons, companies and divisions of the group.

The first step in a long task of cohesion and internal union, the experience is to be renewed in 2007. Chairman Jean-Thierry CATRICE's message to his collaborators was clear: «Faced with transformations of the strategic environment, the future of the company depends largely on its capacity to mobilise its human resources into a well-knit, agile and flexible network... Sharing the vision and values of our company does not consist in presenting your with sales plans or changes which we are obliged to impose on you. What matters to me is to be able to share with you the fundamental points of the development process of our companies so that you are able, collectively, to define and implement your own product and sales actions.»*
